Hello, my name is Derek McCracken.
I help leaders communicate with clarity, make decisive choices under pressure, and grow in confidence.
I have a deep passion for management development and seeing teams excel at every level.
Over the years I’ve developed a proven approach that helps leaders enhance their communication, build trust, and achieve their goals in real time.
Through Leadership on Call, I provide the tools that enable leaders and managers to think differently and create lasting impact.
A large part of my career background has been spent in Interim Management, where I’ve managed transitions at a senior level in over 30 assignments across aerospace, medical, marine, packaging, construction and bespoke specialist products and services.
Beginning life as a Time Served Toolmaker, I’ve held senior leadership roles to CEO level across a range of highly regulated sectors. This extensive experience has enabled me to grow naturally as a successful coach and mentor, where I can pass on this experience, providing support and challenge, along with acting as a confidential sounding board.
I’ve also completed a range of study to include a BA in Business, MSc in Business Improvement, and ILM Level 7 in Executive Coaching & Mentoring. Being a believer in continuous professional development I completed the Experienced Managers Programme with the Irish Management Institute, the role of the Non-Executive Director, role of company Chair and Coaching for Directors, all at Institute of Directors, London.
I am a husband, father, and grandfather whose life is guided by faith. I enjoy adventure, fitness, and friends. I’m passionate about living a full life where mental, physical, and relational health are all given equal importance.
